"3 Very Important Things You MUST
Know About 'Internet Marketing'..."

new subscriber asked me earlier: 'What 3 things he must know about Internet marketing?' I thought you might find my reply useful. With so many things to consider, it's difficult to narrow it down to just three. But I gave him three tips I rate highly....

#TIP1 -
"Your List Is Your Most Prized Possession!

Not Just For Making 'Big Money', But Also For
When You Face Adversity, Here's Why..."

A well used phrase, but the money really is in the list. People talk about how important a list is to make big money. That is very true, but no one really says anything about how important it is, to help your business just survive.

The top guru's concentrate a lot on motivating you to try and make a ton of money. That's OK. because that's what we are all in this for. But with the hard slog in getting there, many beginners fall by the wayside. It all seems so far away, so unachievable. A list isn't just to make big bucks.

Even with just a small list, you can still make some money every month. That little bit of money can be built on, and reinvested.

Now, if you build a list, containing people which you have built a rapport with, 'you have the ability to protect yourself against adversity'.

Say you had a website that was getting a ton of search engine traffic, and making you a lot of money.

  • What if you get falsely accused of SPAM, and your domain gets blacklisted overnight?

  • What if Google no longer ranks your site high, and the traffic drops dramatically?

No list, and you have to start from the bottom again. How are you going to make the mortgage/rent payment this month?

If you have a list, you can e-mail your subscribers/customers and explain how this terrible thing has happened. But don't worry, because you have set up a new website very quickly, and if they go and visit etc., you will give them a free gift or whatever.

Most of your best customers will follow you to your new site.

Without your list, you are only really profiting from a short term money maker. You are not really running a business.

"With a list, you have the ultimate business tool, for not only making money, but also for protecting your income, and the very existence of your business"

#TIP2 -
"Treat People How You
Would Like To Be Treated"

If you want to make money fast, all you have to do is promise the moon to all your customers. The gullible will hand you cash in droves. But, if you don't deliver the moon, and deliver it fast, your profits and reputation is built on a bed of quicksand. The dream will be over before it's even begun.

Look at the longer term outlook.

If you only ever sell quality, or recommend people to buy quality, you get respect and a degree of loyalty from them. If you try and make money from products you have no faith in, what do you think your customers will think of the products? How will they value your opinion now?

I haven't got a religious bone in my body (sorry, I'm being honest), but my advice is to always "do un to other's as you would have them do to you". Be it customer's, JV partners, competitors, whatever.

When you go on forums, use your real name. Don't lurk in the shadows, help people with whatever knowledge you have. You already know more than someone who hasn't read the books you have. To them you are already an expert.

"By sharing your knowledge and helping others, it will really benefit you any your business in the long run."

Who knows, an Internet newbie you help today, could end up promoting your product for you down the road. Or even give you a positive reference on a forum. Every little helps.

That's why I said to use your real name on forums. Every time you post on a forum, you are building up your name recognition amongst potential future customers. If they later come across one of your sales messages, they will already have formed a positive opinion of you.

People who post on forums with obscure usernames, and never reveal their true identify, will be at a disadvantage to you.

#TIP3 -
"Try To Find Different Ways To Benefit
From Each Bit Of Content You Write..."

When someone asks you a question, you might not always have time to write a detailed reply to them. However, it's often a good way to write a quick article.

When you try to write an article, you have dream up a good topic to write about. You also have to decide what to write on that topic. This often takes time to think about and research.

On the other hand, when you reply to someone's questions, it's like a ready made template for an article.

All you have to do is answer each question, and then reformat it a bit afterwards, and use it as an article. If you reply wasn't that thorough, you still have a great starting point for a new article you can use.

When someone asks you questions, chances are, other people will want to know the answer to them too. It's almost like ready-made market research on what people want to know.

After replying to my subscriber earlier, I had created an instant article for my newsletter. Now, instead of my detailed e-mail reply, just sitting in my
'sent' folder, I can benefit by distributing the same content elsewhere.

With Internet marketing we are creating some form of content all the time. You should keep hold of your good e-mail replies and forum posts you make.

You then have stuff that is already pre-written, and you can use it in a number of places...

  • In a newsletter. (Just like I have done today)

  • On a web page on your site. (Also like I've done today)

  • In an autoresponder course.

  • Submit your article to article directories to drive traffic to your website.

  • Use the content as part of an ebook.

Same content, used in multiple ways, benefiting multiple people. Everyone wins!

I hope you found today's tips worthwhile,
