How To Get Started When
You Don’t Have Any Money

Have you subscribed to my RSS feed yet?. Thanks for visiting!

If you want to get into affiliate marketing, but you don’t have any cash to start off with, here’s an option for you…

One method you could try is creating and distributing free reports.

You can create a pdf ebook/report for free, using free software like the one available at: http://www.pdf995.com.

Pick a topic that you think people will be interested in. Maybe a problem that you often hear people talk about on forums. Tell people what they need to do to overcome this problem in your report…

…then introduce them to a product that will solve the problem for them (using your affiliate link in your report).

As an example: The problem could be that business owners struggle to keep up with e-mail, and following up with their customers.

You could tell them ‘what’ they need to do is invest in an autoresponder, and explain the benefits of using such a service.

Then introduce them to an autoresponder service (with your affiliate link) that you recommend, and detail your reasons why they are better than the competition (benefits/features).

No Cost Marketing

Give the report a good title, and submit it to free ebook directories. Do a search on Google and look for pages with the words: ‘free ebooks’. This should help you find websites that give away free ebooks.

You could try approaching the site owners. Let them have a copy of your report. Offer to make a special copy just for them. This would basically be the same report, but with a link back to their site on the front page. ‘Report sponsored by: ‘their website’ etc.

This might help to get your free ebook a more prominent position on their website. The more it gets downloaded, the more people click on your affiliate link etc., etc.

You could even look for a budding ebook cover designer, to see if they would do a free ebook cover for you, in exchange for getting exposure for their service. Again, you could offer to place an ad for their service in your ebook, and tell them that you will be distributing it far and wide.

The ebook cover would help to give your free report a higher perceived value and appeal.

You could repeat this process for different products/topics in many different niches.

When you get your own site, you should include a link back to your website in the reports. Where they will be able to get more free reports and other useful info from you.

To help you get an idea on how to structure this type of report, just download a number of free reports/ebooks from the free ebook directories, and see how other people are doing it.

You can pick up some good tips and methods this way, and do something similar but in your own style and for different affiliate products.

All this can be done for free :-)

Would You Like To Work
In The Movie Industry?

Are you looking for something interesting to build a content website around?

When you are trying to make a success of something, it really does help if you have an interest in what you’re doing. If you can build your business around a hobby you like, then that is brilliant. However, many people don’t have a hobby or pastime, that they feel they could build an Internet business around.

Do you like watching movies and TV?

As most people like watching movies and TV, I thought maybe this could be an area you would find interesting to make money in?

Some of the most searched for phrases on the Internet are for information on celebrities, pop stars, actors, movies and TV programs. Now you’d think that with all the huge corporate companies in the media industry, they’d have the search engines sewn up for all the popular phrases, with no room for the little guy/girl like you and I.

Not so…

Take a look at these search figures which I just pulled from Overture’s results for convenience. This is the number of searches Overture claim they had in December:

Orlando Bloom 128297
Tom Cruise 179594
Brad Pitt 269704
Tom Hanks 29176
Angelina Jolie 695568
Harry Potter 1296502
Indiana Jones 25411

If you do a search on each of those actors/character names in Google, you will see websites run by fans featuring in the top 2-3 places. Some of them are doing a better job of monetising the traffic than others, but there is definitely money to be made here. Posters, T-shirts, video games, books and DVD’s are just a few of the things you could sell to people who are fascinated with their favorite movie stars. With www.Amazon.com, www.Allposters.com and www.CafePress.com you have three sites to start off with, that could help you profit from this type of website traffic.

Now, at this stage you might be a little concerned about how much competition there is for these popular celebrities. You’d be right to think that, but you have to look at this in the same way you would investigate any niche market.

Find Out About Hot New Films
Before The General Public

A very useful website to check out is www.imdb.com (Internet Movie Database). IMDb has a vast database on information on just every actor, actress, movie, TV series, producer, director you name it.

What I like about that site, is that you can also see which films are currently in pre-production or currently filming. This gives you an opportunity to build a fan site for new film, and get it established before all the big publicity starts for it. Obviously, until a film comes out, there’s no telling how popular it will become, so this approach can be a bit hit and miss.

There’s an option to subscribe to IMDb’s pro service at www.IMDbpro.com. The pro service gives you much more detailed information for $14.95 a month, with a 14 day free trial.

The pro version is great for spotting potentially big films or TV series before they get much exposure in the press. Everything is updated on a chart so you can see which productions, actors, directors etc., are getting the most interest. It’s a great way to spot new talent and potentially big future productions, by watching them rise steadily through the chart over time.

You can find out which actors are going to be in each production, and which studios have signed up to make and distribute them. This additional info can help you assess which movies are more likely to get the most publicity when they are released.

Now, this is a bit of a risky venture, because as I’m sure you know, films and TV shows get canceled all the time, and actors can be hot one minute, and cold the next.

What I’m personally doing is picking out a few movies that are still in the very early pre-production stages, but have a big studio behind it. Preferably something that has done very well as a book, so I know the story is a popular one. I’ll throw up a very basic website for each film, and get a few links into the sites so they get indexed in Google.

I’ll keep an eye on the IMDb database for updates on each film’s progress, and add more to my sites as times goes on. Once the film starts production, or just before, that’s when I’ll step up adding more content, and marketing the site more seriously.

By the time the film starts getting main stream press coverage, my site will already be established, and sitting pretty at the top of the search engines, just waiting for the traffic to flood in.

The great thing about getting in early is that you can snap up some great domain names before everyone else does. I should make it clear, that this is a bit of a speculative project I’m doing, but one that I find interesting to do, which is mainly why I’m doing it.

Who knows, maybe I’ll discover the next Harry Potter ;-)

I hope you found this interesting,

This Helped Me To Make
My Living ‘Full Time’ Online…

Online Business BlueprintIf you are still looking for that peace in the puzzle, which will mean that finally, you can give up your day job, and enjoy working full time online…

I’d like to tell you about something, which really helped get my Internet business moving in the right direction.

These days, I feel very proud when I tell people that I no longer work for someone else, and now run my own business on the Internet, from the comfort of my own home.

I’m not going to pretend it was easy, or that it was an overnight success, but all the hard work and effort has paid off big time, and now I’m reaping the rewards.

I’m not telling you this to gloat and brag, I just wanted you to know that if you have a goal of working for yourself online, ‘it can be done’!

Now, if I had to pinpoint one turning point in my life which transformed my business fortunes, it would be easy…

The day I decided to enroll on Dave Vallieres’ course: ‘You Can Make Your Living Online

Gave Me The Tools, Knowledge and Confidence…

That course literally opened my eyes to the opportunities out there, and provided me with the tools, knowledge and confidence to really kick start my business.

If I hadn’t taken that course, you almost certainly wouldn’t be reading this now, because it was Dave’s course which gave me the inspiration, and belief in myself, to start my ‘Business Brainwaves newsletter’.

I am one of the few people who have exclusive rights to the ‘updated version 2′ of the course, which contains additional audio, video and bonuses, not available with the original course.

You can read all about it here:

A Viral Marketing Success Story

Viral website exampleI want to show you an example of a very simple, but incredibly successful website, that has really harnessed the power of ‘viral marketing’.

Before I give you the website address, I would like to point out that it is a religious website.  I know that many people reading this don’t believe in God, or care much about religion.  That includes ‘me‘.

However, I’m not telling you about this from a religious standpoint.  Fact is; this website has made Morgan Westerman (the site owner) a considerable fortune, and I think you can learn a lot from studying his business model, and then adapting it for other markets.

After you’ve had a look at the site in question, we’ll then look at how we can use a similar business model to target completely different markets, and I’ll even give you a few ideas to be going on with.
