BlogRush - Free Traffic For Your Blogs
Have you subscribed to my RSS feed yet?. Thanks for visiting!
Everyone with a blog wants more traffic and readers. So when I first heard about the new blog plugin called BlogRush, I jumped at the chance to test it out.
If you look down to the right you will see the grey box, with the headline ‘FROM THE BLOGASPHERE’. That’s the BlogRush plugin at work.
Before you shout ‘Oh No, not more ads!’ I should point out that the plugin doesn’t contain ads.
So, How does it work?
- You register for a free account here.
- You type in the name of your blog and RSS feed, and choose a category related to your blog content.
- You get given a tiny bit of code that you need to copy and paste to your blog.
- The BlogRush plugin instantly starts displaying links to other blog posts, in the category you chose.
- Every time the BlogRush tab is displayed to a new visitor to your blog, this earns you 1 credit, to have your latest blog post linked to from another related blog.
- If someone registers with BlogRush after clicking on the BlogRush link at the bottom, you earn another credit every time a new visitor goes to their blog.
- No ads are displayed, just links to relevant blog posts in the same content category as your own blog.
- You can even specify certain keywords that you don’t want blog links displayed for.
And it gets a whole lot better than this, and it’s all free. To find out more, watch the very professional introduction video on the BlogRush home page.
I like the idea a lot, and it only took me about 4 minutes to register, and add the code to my blog. That’s it, I don’t have to do anthing else!
Will this really bring you lots of free traffic?
The honest answer is I only added the thing about 10 minutes ago, so I can’t possibly guarantee anything. But this whole marketing game is about experimenting and testing to see what works, and what doesn’t.
After you’ve registered and installed the free plugin, you will able to start seeing statistics in your account area, in about 24 to 48 hours time.
I will report back on my blog once I’ve had a chance to see how it’s working.

DealDotCom - A Good Deal or Not?
I know this is going to sound strange and contradictory, but I want to tell you HOW to get big exclusive discounts on a range of good Internet marketing products and software, but at the same time tell you NOT to buy anything.
Let me explain…
Whether you buy Internet marketing products or software regularly or not, I’m sure you would like to get them at a discount …without any strings - am I right?
Jason Potash of Article Announcer fame is about to launch a new discount club membership with a difference. Before I tell you more about it, I should point out that the site doesn’t officially launch for 3 days. If you go to the home page now, all you will get is a countdown timer.
But, if you click on this link, you can sign up for free now: DealDotCom
Here’s How This Can Save You Money…
- Membership to the discount club doesn’t cost you a penny, just your name and email address to get in.
- You then get access to genuine and decent discounts on good quality Internet marketing products/courses and software.
That pretty much sums it up in a nutshell.
Are these genuine discounts, or just a big scam to pull the wool over your eyes?
Well, I’m not running the show, Jason Potash is. But here’s a quote from the DealDotCom site, to vendors considering submitting a product for approval:
"Also, note the name of this website - DealDotCom… the operative word here being DEAL. Whatever you’re selling through us must be an actual DEAL. Offering $10 off a $500 product is definitely not a deal. Likewise, allowing us to sell your $47 product for $97, and letting us keep the extra fifty bucks is most certainly not a deal."
The Catch…
Unfortunately, the products are not available with an all year round discount.
The products are offered on a ‘deal of the day’ set up, where you can login each day and get a big discount on the current product being offered.
This is why I said I was going to tell you NOT to buy anything …unless you actually need the product!
A discount on something you don’t really need, is not a discount …it’s an unecessary purchase! Just rembember that!
BUT, and it’s a big but, you’d be mad not to sign up to this totally free membership.
Every time I decide to buy a business related product from now on, guess where I’m going to double check first, before I buy it from the sales page?
Yep, you guessed it - DealDotCom!
A Great Opportunity For Affiliates
…Especially If You Act Fast!
This is the really clever bit on Jason’s part. DealDotCom has a two tier affiliate program.
- If you promote DealDotCom as an affiliate (yes, just like I’m doing here), you make money on any discounted products that are bought by the people you refer.
- You also get a smaller cut of every sale that your own affiliates make.
I can see this free service becoming incredibly popular, and because the membership won’t offically launch for 3 days, there’s a nice little head start here for anyone who decides to promote the membership early.
This looks like a win,win service to me for both buyers and sellers.
Just remember, don’t go buying any products that you don’t really need!
In case you missed the other 3 links, here’s where you can register for your free account: DealDotCom

Cheap Traffic and Fast Profits From Misspellings and Typos
The Big Graveyard Folder of Unfinished Projects!
I’ve been out of circulation for a while, so my apologies for not writing anything for a long time.
What have I been up to?
I’ve often mentioned that selling products to Internet marketers is NOT my main focus, and never has been. So although you haven’t heard from me, I have been extremely busy.
Towards the end of last year I found that I was spreading myself far too thinly, and was trying to manage far too many websites and projects, in far too many markets at the same time.
What I had was dozens of websites with anthing from a small to average income each. Collectively, they were providing me with a very good income, but most of them weren’t doing as well as I’d hoped on their own.
Itchy feet and withdrawl symptoms…
The trouble was I’d become almost addicted to jumping from one project to the next. If I hadn’t started working on a new website project for a week, I’d start to get itchy feet and withdrawl symptoms.
The situation actually reminded me a lot of my old school reports …"Jason continues to do the bare minimum to get by."
Unlike when I was at school, I was actually working flat out for long hours but the result was the same. I never really gave each website/project enough of my attention and time. I was doing the bare minimum to get them up and running before moving on.
Some perfectly good product ideas/websites didn’t even get finished. I’d get stuck on some minor issue half way through, but instead of sorting out the problem or sticking block, the attraction of starting another brand new project seemed far more appealing …and another great idea was sent to the big graveyard folder of unfinished projects!
Have you got one of those on your hard drive?
Something Had To Change…
So at the turn of the year I decided I was going to really narrow down my focus, and try and concentrate on just one new project at a time.
I wrote an article a while back about ‘not overlooking the gold you already own’, and that’s where I decided to start.
Instead of looking for a brand new project to focus everything on, I decided to look at the websites and projects I already had.
I picked out the websites that were doing the best, and that I was more interested in. Then one by one, I started to go through each site and looked at how I could do more to..
- Get more traffic to the sites.
- Increase sales and conversion rates.
- Improve the product to cut refunds and support questions.
- Improve my search engine rankings.
- Get more sign ups for my opt-in forms.
- Add more useful content to the site.
- Get more links to the site.
- Get more affiliates promoting the site (on a site that I was selling ym own product).
- Make more back end sales, after the initial sale.
This made a huge difference to my bottom line very quickly, because it’s so much easier to increase the profits of an existing website/email list, than it is to start from scratch.
Before you consider jumping into a new project, you should definitely make sure you’ve done as much as you can, to maximise the potential of your existing projects/websites first.
On the flip side, if you haven’t got anything making you money so far, take a look over the business ideas and projects you started but never completed.
Why didn’t you finish them?
What’s stopping you from grabbing ‘one’ by the horns right now, and getting it done this week?
Try not to jump from one idea or project to the next. Make a pact with yourself to get a project done from start to finish. Give yourself a fairly tight deadline and stick to it!
