BlogRush - Free Traffic For Your Blogs
Have you subscribed to my RSS feed yet?. Thanks for visiting!
Everyone with a blog wants more traffic and readers. So when I first heard about the new blog plugin called BlogRush, I jumped at the chance to test it out.
If you look down to the right you will see the grey box, with the headline ‘FROM THE BLOGASPHERE’. That’s the BlogRush plugin at work.
Before you shout ‘Oh No, not more ads!’ I should point out that the plugin doesn’t contain ads.
So, How does it work?
- You register for a free account here.
- You type in the name of your blog and RSS feed, and choose a category related to your blog content.
- You get given a tiny bit of code that you need to copy and paste to your blog.
- The BlogRush plugin instantly starts displaying links to other blog posts, in the category you chose.
- Every time the BlogRush tab is displayed to a new visitor to your blog, this earns you 1 credit, to have your latest blog post linked to from another related blog.
- If someone registers with BlogRush after clicking on the BlogRush link at the bottom, you earn another credit every time a new visitor goes to their blog.
- No ads are displayed, just links to relevant blog posts in the same content category as your own blog.
- You can even specify certain keywords that you don’t want blog links displayed for.
And it gets a whole lot better than this, and it’s all free. To find out more, watch the very professional introduction video on the BlogRush home page.
I like the idea a lot, and it only took me about 4 minutes to register, and add the code to my blog. That’s it, I don’t have to do anthing else!
Will this really bring you lots of free traffic?
The honest answer is I only added the thing about 10 minutes ago, so I can’t possibly guarantee anything. But this whole marketing game is about experimenting and testing to see what works, and what doesn’t.
After you’ve registered and installed the free plugin, you will able to start seeing statistics in your account area, in about 24 to 48 hours time.
I will report back on my blog once I’ve had a chance to see how it’s working.

Free Tool For Creating Targeted RSS Feeds With Your Affiliate Link Embedded
I recently came across a useful free tool for creating RSS feeds which I think you’ll find very useful.
First off, the great thing about RSS feeds is that you can use them to syndicate other people’s content on your websites. This is a great way of adding fresh new content to your websites, that’s on target and regularly updated.
One drawback is that every item in the feed contains a link, which could potentially take visitors away from your site. It’s a bit of a trade off, just like when you publish other people’s articles on your website.
Here’s where this new tool makes adding an RSS feed much more attractive and profitable for you…
You can create custom feeds, where every link in the feed contains your affiliate link, and takes the visitor directly to a product that is directly related to the content of your site.
Sound cool to you?
RSS Feed Generator is set up to work with many different feed sources, but the key ones that will make you money are ClickBank, eBay and Amazon.
- You just select which feed you want to create, so for example we say ClickBank.
- You enter your clickBank nickname.
- You enter up to 10 different keywords
- Hey presto, you are presented with your own customized feed for each keyword you entered.
There’s even an RSS feed conveter tool linked to on the top menu. Enter your new feed here, and it creates the web page code for you, which you just copy and paste into your web pages.
You can add these feeds to static web pages, or to dynamic pages like blogs. This is a cool free tool and well worth checking out:

Free Semi Automated Tool For
Promoting Your Blog and RSS Feeds
When I first started my blog I wrote about the benefits of submitting your blog to blog and rss feed directories. You can read that post again here. In that post I recommended an automated software program called RSS Submit, which I still use now.
Submitting your blog and RSS feeds to directories gives you free exposure and backlinks, and can be a fast way to help get your blog indexed and noticed.
RSS Submit is a very handy bit of software, but I recently came across a free alternative to that, which might appeal to you if you are on a tight budget.
Submit ‘em now is a free plugin for the Firefox browser. I don’t know if you use Firefox for browsing, but even if you don’t it’s worth having it installed, just to use some of the free plugins like this one I’m telling about.
Once you’ve installed the ‘Submit em now’ plugin, you start a new project for each blog or RSS feed. You fill out out the details of your blog etc like address, feed link, description, keywords etc. Then click on ‘next url’ and Submit em now takes you to the submission page for each blog/rss directory in turn.
The plugin uses a database of about 100 directories, so it’s pretty extensive.
The great part is that it pre-populates their submission forms automatically, using the info you originally typed in when you set up each submission project.
This really helps you speed up this important but otherwise boring and time consuming prossess. If you want complete automation then RSS Submit is still the option for you, but Submit ‘em now is a great free alternative that will still save you a lot of time.
I hope you found this useful,

A software product idea…
For those that don’t already know, this blog was created using Wordpress, which is probably the most popular blog software out there.
Now, there are tons of free Wordpress templates all over the web, so that you can choose whatever design you like. The only problem is, people want their blogs to be different, and not exactly the same as those belonging to thousands of other bloggers using the exact same template.
It seems to me that there’s a big demand here waiting to be filled.

What’s needed is a ‘Wordpress template generator’.
With each Wordpress template (as far as my knowledge takes me), there are five main files that would need to be customized:
header.php
index.php
footer.php
sidebar.php
styles.css
Imagine a piece of software with five tabs. On each tab you can go in a choose from a menu, and change the various design options to make each file unique to you. Ideally, it would have a preview option which you could check as you go along.
Then at the end you click the finished button, and it saves the now customized versions of the above five files to a location you choose. You upload them to your server, and your done.
Wouldn’t that be a really useful piece of software for Wordpress blog users?
It would need to have plenty of design options, and the ability to choose your own color scheme, 2 or 3 column layout etc., so that people don’t all end up desinging the exact same template. You should also be able to import your own images for additional customization.
If someone already knows of a software program that does this, please let me know. If there isn’t one available yet, I’m sure there will be in the near future. Will you be the one to develop it?
Food for thought ;-)

If there is one thing that virtually every Blog publisher has in common, it’s that: ‘they want to get more traffic to their blog!’
They say that if you want to be successful, you should ‘find out what people want, and give it to them‘.
With an estimated 30 million blogs online already, and thousands more being set up every day, that’s one heck of a demand that is just waiting to be filled.
Well, the good news is; I recently purchased the rights to an excellent info product, which shows blog owners loads of ’simple, but highly effective techniques’ for driving massive amounts of long-term traffic to their blogs.
It’s a low-cost/info-packed ebook, with a huge potential market for the information.
You can start making money with this almost instantly, because it also comes with a ready-made sales page and graphics.
If you want to drastically increase the traffic to your own blog, or make a load of money from people who do…
Check this out now:
This is a well-written ebook for a very hot market, so don’t miss out!

Why Would Someone Visit Your,

I received a lot of similar questions following yesterday’s article about setting up blog directories for niche markets. So, I thought it would be a good idea to post a follow up here, to iron out a few concerns people were having.
The question I was getting asked was:
‘If I set up a directory listing just blogs about say: ‘fishing’, wouldn’t most people just go to Blogger or similar big directories, and just search for ‘fishing’ blogs there?
The simple answer to that is ‘YES‘, a lot of people will go to the existing big general blog directories and search on there. However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for thousands of much smaller, but tightly focused niche blog directories.

Check Out My Competition…
I recently came across a very useful new directory which lists Internet Marketing blogs, and I think you should take a look.
IMBlogs.net is run by ’smart cookie’ Michelle Stahl, who has set up a ‘dedicated’ directory just for blogs about Internet marketing.
Directories of websites and resources, have been one of the most successful Internet business models, since the Internet began. It’s no surprise that when blogs started to grow rapidly in popularity, it wasn’t long before people started to throw up directories of blogs as well.
What Michelle has done is focus on one tight niche market, and build a blog directory ‘just’ for people interested in this ’specific’ information.

With the launch of my new blog, I naturally wanted to get the word out, by submitting my blog feed to the various blog directories out there.
As you may know, submitting your website to normal search engines is a pretty worthless exercise these days, because it can take many months to get listed that way, if at all.
However, with Blogs and RSS feeds it’s a different story. There are now a growing number of blog and RSS feed directories, who readily accept and encourage you to add your blog to their database
