Sneaky Ways They Download Top Selling Products For Free…

Have you subscribed to my RSS feed yet?. Thanks for visiting!

This is a controversial topic, and I must admit I was in two minds about telling you about this.

It’s a bit like placing an ad in a local newspaper, warning your neighors not to leave their back door keys under the doormat.

On one hand you’re trying to stop your neighbors from being robbed, but at the same time you are telling all the burglers where they hide their keys.

Someone has just released a detailed guide, on how to protect your digital products from being downloaded for free.

http://www.BusinessBrainwaves.com/Download_Hacks

On the flip side …lots of people will get this just to find out all the tricks, and back door methods to download products without paying.

If you sell digital products, you should know how people are going to find your downloads, and what you can do to stop them.

Order the ‘Download Hacks‘ ebook through my affiliate link below, then send me a copy of your receipt.

Case Study - An Affiliate Going the Extra Mile to Get the Sale

James Jones Affiliate Video ReviewHere’s a classic example of an affiliate going that extra mile to make a sale.

James Jones often shoots some cool videos so I always look out for them. In his latest video he’s reviewing a new product that he’s an affiliate for. The actual product he’s reviewing doesn’t matter, because that’s not why I’m showing you this.

What’s worth seeing is the way James has reviewed the product, but more importantly what he’s doing to overcome the shortcomings of the product.

The video starts off with James going through and rating the various aspects of the product.  Things like how true the sales letter is, it’s uniquness, usability etc. He then goes on to give it a C- for buying experience, and shows you exactly why on the video.

He explains that the product is great, but organised extremely badly and a real mess to work with. He shows you all the files you have to download and how dissorgansied it all is.

Then he steps in with the perfect solution - a hard copy version of the course including 8 CD’s, with everything laid out to make the product much easier to use and benefit from.

The catch? Nothing extra to pay, you just have to buy the product through James’ affiliate link. He even ships the hard copy to you for free!

What’s worth noting is how James leads in to his free bonus, he doesn’t just hit you on the head with it straight out of the gate. He highlights a big problem, with what he would otherwise consider a good product …then provides the answer, and a compelling reason to buy through his affiliate link.

This is not an endorsement for the product in the video, because I haven’t seen it. But I think the video is a great affiliate marketing lesson worth watching.

Here’s a link to the video: http://www.micronichetool.com/plugnplay/

P.S. In case you’re wondering, I’ve spoken with James and he did get permission to make a hard copy of the product as a bonus. I would advise that you always contact the product owner, before considering doing anything like this yourself.

Cheap Traffic and Fast Profits From Misspellings and Typos

Every time I sit down and use my PC, I misspell stuff and hit typos on my keyboard (In fact, I just had to re-write two words in this very sentence) …and I’m not the only one who does it.

Millions of typos and misspellings are typed into search engines and website address bars every single day.  This is a natural phenomena, that is never ever going to stop. As more people come online, more and more misspelling and typos are going to be typed in every day …it’s a given fact!

While it’s true that virtually all the best one or two word domains are taken, and that all the high traffic keywords are super competitive in the search engines, the same cannot be said about misspellings and keyword typos.

"There is Gold in Them There Hills!"

Misspelt words, missed or skipped letters, reversed or transposed letters, wrong keys nearby, skipped spaces, inserted keys, double letters, phonetic spellings.

Let me give you an example:

According to Wordtracker, there are 3033 searches a day for the phrase "dog training", and there are 2,110,000 pages in Google with that exact phrase.

The  term "dog traning" (notice the missing ‘i’) gets 42 searches a day, but there’s only 629 pages with that exact phrase on.

Are you starting to the potential here? The people who accidentally missed out the ‘i’ are just as interested in dog training as those that didn’t, so this type of traffic is super targeted.

The number of searches is a lot less than the main phrase, but the competition is minimal in camparison, and don’t forget this is just one of the possible typos for this phrase.

Expert Guidance…

Knowing about misspellings and typos is one thing, but it’s very easy to go chasing fools gold if you don’t know what you’re doing.  All typos are not created equal, with certain types of typos getting way more traffic than others.

Typo GoldJust before the weekend I finished reading Typo Gold and it is without doubt, the definitive resouce on how to profit and get cheap targeted traffic, using misspellings and typos.

It’s been compiled by two best selling authors; one of them an Emmy award winning business columnist, for the Los Angeles Times - Did I mention credibility?

At 110 pages, it’s packed full of statistics, real world examples, insider strategies plus two very useful free software tools for finding typos.

Quite simply, if you want to profit from misspellings and typos and get targeted traffic for next to nothing, you need this guide! It will save you a ton of time and money, and open your eyes to ideas you would have never thought of without it.

Tips On Promoting Your Affiliate Program

So, you’ve created a product and you’ve set up your affiliate program …how do you get the word out and start promoting it?

The overwhelming majority of the sales made by your affiliates, are going to come from a very small number of affiliates. So it’s a very good idea to spend time, effort and maybe a little money to try and attract these super affiliates.

If you could have anyone promote your product, who would it be?

That’s the question you need to ask yourself first. If you don’t know the top dogs in your industry that may promote your product, use Google or scan trade mags to go look for them.

  • Who are your direct competitors for your product?
  • Who is promoting their product?
  • Who has a large email list, or offline list of people in your target market?
  • Whose email or offline newsletters do you read in your industry?
  • What websites do you regularly visit in your niche?
  • Who owns the biggest and most popular forums in your niche?
  • Which bloggers have a huge captive audience and a big influence in your niche?
  • Which people are consistently paying top bucks for advertising in your niche?

Get the answer to these questions and get in touch with these guys, to introduce yourself and your product to them.

Go for slightly smaller fish to begin with to give yourself confidence and refine your approach. Either call them up on the phone, send them a very personalised email or mail them a personalised package. Maybe all three.

Explain the key benefits of your product, and ALWAYS offer it to them for FREE to evaluate/use, no strings. DON’T ask them to pay for postage if it’s a physical product, and NEVER EVER ask or expect them to buy it from you!

Tell them how well your product is converting to sales, preferably with some sales stats to back it up. Plus the details of your affiliate program, and how much they will make per sale, and when they will they get paid and how.

Don’t send them a load of hype, and try not to come across as desperate. Be confident, come to the point quickly and be yourself.

Bend Over Backwards

It’s worth spending time and a bit more effort, trying to hook and help the big players in your niche. These are the people that are going to make you the most sales.

Put yourself in the shoes of your most sought after super affiliates. How would you react if someone contacted you out of the blue, about a product like yours? What would make the proposal stand out and make you want to promote it?

What can you do, and how can you help them personally, to make their promotion of your product successful, quick to set up, and easy to do?

Announcements, Affiliate Directories, Paid Advertising

  • Submit details of your affiliate program to affiliate program directories. (search Google for "affiliate program directory")
  • Scan affiliate forums and post your affiliate program info in the ‘announcements’ or ‘free ads’ section.
  • Buy classified or display ads on sites where your potential affiliates congregrate in high numbers.
  • Buy a classified ad in newsletters that target affiliate marketers specifically.
  • See if you can utilize Google’s site targeting option in Adwords, to have your ad displayed on high traffic affiliate directories and forums.

This is by no means a complete list of steps to take, but it should get you off to a good start :-)

BlogRush - Free Traffic For Your Blogs

Blog RushEveryone with a blog wants more traffic and readers. So when I first heard about the new blog plugin called BlogRush, I jumped at the chance to test it out.

If you look down to the right you will see the grey box, with the headline ‘FROM THE BLOGASPHERE’. That’s the BlogRush plugin at work.

Before you shout ‘Oh No, not more ads!’ I should point out that the plugin doesn’t contain ads.

So, How does it work?

  1. You register for a free account here.
  2. You type in the name of your blog and RSS feed, and choose a category related to your blog content.
  3. You get given a tiny bit of code that you need to copy and paste to your blog.
  4. The BlogRush plugin instantly starts displaying links to other blog posts, in the category you chose.
  5. Every time the BlogRush tab is displayed to a new visitor to your blog, this earns you 1 credit, to have your latest blog post linked to from another related blog.
  6. If someone registers with BlogRush after clicking on the BlogRush link at the bottom, you earn another credit every time a new visitor goes to their blog.
  7. No ads are displayed, just links to relevant blog posts in the same content category as your own blog.
  8. You can even specify certain keywords that you don’t want blog links displayed for.

And it gets a whole lot better than this, and it’s all free. To find out more, watch the very professional introduction video on the BlogRush home page.

I like the idea a lot, and it only took me about 4 minutes to register, and add the code to my blog. That’s it, I don’t have to do anthing else!

Will this really bring you lots of free traffic?

The honest answer is I only added the thing about 10 minutes ago, so I can’t possibly guarantee anything. But this whole marketing game is about experimenting and testing to see what works, and what doesn’t.

After you’ve registered and installed the free plugin, you will able to start seeing statistics in your account area, in about 24 to 48 hours time.

I will report back on my blog once I’ve had a chance to see how it’s working.

Discover The Amazing Liberating Power Of ‘Pen Names’

We’ve all got little and in some cases big hang ups that hold us back in some way. Those little seeds of doubt and caution that our inner voice steps in with, to cast a shadow over the path you were about to follow.

In the movies of course it’s different…

Our hero’s seem to be able jump from one building to the next without fear…walk straight up and get talking to the beautiful girl without fear of rejection…stand up to the bullies when the odds seem stacked against them!

Away from the movies there are real people we look up to and admire…

The sales guy that always seems to be able to close the big contracts…the attractive woman at the party who all the guys seem to be talking about and looking at…that person who never seems to be afraid of speaking out, and putting their opinion forward, even when it goes completely against the voice of the crowd.

Here’s the thing…

  • You CAN be that strong minded, courageous person you always wanted to be!
  • You CAN be that super sales person!
  • You CAN be that outspoken, opinionated person you’ve secretly wished you were!
  • You CAN have the super confidence you’ve always admired in others!

And you can be all of these things INSTANTLY!

And it doesn’t involve you having to buy some hyped up new self help course, or anything like that…

BUT HOW?

…By using a ‘PEN NAME’

Using a pen name can be a very liberating experience. Just like when an actor becomes someone completely different when they are acting…YOU can instantly become the type of person you want to be, just by using a pen name.

Your pen name could have a completely different personality to you….

  • Where you might fear rejection or embarrassment, your pen name’s personality doesn’t let fear stand in their way.
  • Where you might keep your thoughts to yourself because you worry what people will say, your pen name is outspoken and speaks their mind.
  • Where you might be shy, your pen name is bold and super confident.
  • Where you might doubt your knowledge and ability, your pen name is full of self confidence.

The main way I use pen names is with private label ebooks, articles and content that I have ghostwritten.

I don’t know much about bass fishing, bridal showers, cross stitching, the best mortgages to buy or many other niches I might want to target. So even if I’ve had some top notch content ghostwritten by an expert in the field, I’d still be very apprehensive about putting my own name on the article as the author.

But by using a pen name instead, I don’t have any such fears holding me back. My pen name isn’t worried about rejection, failure or if anyone likes them.

It can actually be quite fun as well; deciding on the pen name to use and the type of personality to give them.

When I choose a new pen name I usually Google it first to see what exposure that name already has. I don’t want to choose a name that is already being used by someone in the same or similar niche, because that would cause confusion and undue hassle.

Most of the time I like to choose a pen name that has under 1000 results in Google, preferably under 100. I also like to make a note of how many results there are, so that when I start promoting a site using a new pen name, I can judge how much exposure I’m getting by comparing how many more Google results that name has, from when I first started using it.

What name will you choose for your new pen name, and what personality will they have?

Google’s New ‘Quality Score’ Rating
…A Rip Off Or An Opportunity?

Google recently updated their Adwords reporting system, allowing you to see their ‘quality score’ for each of your keywords.

Google wants to reward advertisers for providing relevant content. Their new quality score rating tells you how relevant they think the keywords you are targeting are.

They are currently rating each keyword, with either ‘Great’, ‘OK’ or ‘Poor’. Keywords marked great or OK, is a sign that you are targeting the right keywords in Google’s eyes. If a keyword gets tagged with a ‘poor’ rating, this tells you that you need to replace the keyword with a more specific choice.

Alternatively, you need to adjust your ad wording and landing page, to target the poor keyword(s) more closely. This usually means that you’ll need to include the keyword in your ad text, and the landing page you are sending people to.

This might mean having to create new ad groups and landing pages for those poor keywords. You might think this is tough, but to compete on Adwords these days, this is what it takes.

If you just leave poor keywords as they are, you will almost certainly see the minimum bid price shoot up to something silly like $5 or $10 a click.

A Rip Off, Or An Opportunity?

Every time Google does an AdWords update like this,  you always hear lots of moans and groans from pay per click advertisers on the forums. Tales of how their ad costs have hit the roof and how Google is trying to rip them off.

The reality is; no advertiser in their right mind is going to pay $5 a click when they used to pay 10 cents. Google knows this, so when they slap you with a minimum bid price of $5, they are basically telling you that don’t want you to bid on it, because your ad just isn’t targeted enough for that keyword.

The smart marketers adapt and change, and in many cases see their ad costs drop as the competition starts to fade away. If you’ve been hit by Google’s recent changes, refine your ad text and landing pages to be much more targeted.

Not only should you start to get better conversion rates, but your ad costs will probably drop even lower than what they were before.

It’s worth spending a little time looking over the quality scores for your main keywords, and comparing the ads and landing pages for them. This will help you to see why Google is rating one keyword higher than another.

Enabling Google’s ‘Quality Score’ Reporting…

To enable the ‘Quality Score’ login into your Adwords account and open up one of your Ad groups. Once there, select the keywords tab and you will see a link that says ‘customize columns’, above the columns.

Click that, and you will get the option to display ‘quality score’, which imediately adds this reporting into the current display. If you do this in one ad group, it adds the quality score column to every ad group in that particular campaign.

So enable this across your account, you will need to select the quality score option in at least one ad group for each campaign. If you are setting up a brand new Adwords account, the quality score rating is automatically inserted.

Tips For Getting Higher Quality Scores For The Keywords You Target:

  1. Include the keyword in your AdWords ad text.
  2. Have the keyword in the title tag on your landing page.
  3. Have the keyword in your domain name, or the name of the file/folder of your landing page.
  4. Include the keyword in the main headline on the landing page.
  5. In anchor text for outboud links on the landing page.
  6. In anchor text for inbound links to your landing page.
  7. Include the keyword amongst the normal body text on your landing page.
  8. Reduce the number of keywords per ad group right down, so that each group is super targeted on a specific set of phrases.

That’s a few suggestions that will help you get your quality score up, and your cost per click down. I’m not saying you have to do all the above for every keyword, but the more targeted your ads and landing pages are the better. Spend time optimizing for your most important keywords first.

I hope this helps :-)

“Get Paid For ‘Reading’ Forum
Posts With New Free Advertising
Opportunity”

Free advertising on the Conquer Your Niche Forum

Conquer Your Niche is a new forum you are going to hear a lot about, and I’m sure that those who jump in and promote this in the first few days and weeks, are going to be the ones who benefit most. This is why I’m alerting you about it as soon as I could.

I want to give you my balanced view on this opportunity, and share something that no one else is probably going to tell…

  • You get 1/2 an advertising credit for reading forum posts. Every credit earned gets your ad displayed once.
  • You get paid 5 ad credits for every post you make.
  • You can either advertise your own websites, or promote products with your affiliate link. So you don’t need a website to take advantage of this.
  • Your classified ads get placed on the forum - see example above.
  • You earn credits from the advertising of every single person you refer, down 5 levels.
  • You can also earn commission from everyone who buys the OTO (one time offer) upgrade. More on this in a moment.

Things to note…

The only ads that are really worth posting, are going to be ones that are for business related products and services. If you don’t have a product like this, you can just post ads using your affiliate links for any product you choose to promote.

The Upgrade Offer - OTO

It’s common practise these days to get offered a big one time offer deal when you sign up to something, especially things that are free. This is no different.

You get offered a load of additional bonus products, but the real deal is that you can upgrade your forum membership to ‘Elite Status’.

‘Elite Status’ means:

  • You then earn 1 credit for reading posts.
  • ‘20′ credits for making posts.
  • You can use HTML in your ads to make them stand out with color.
  • You get to rotate up to 5 ads so you can test which ads perform better for you.

TOP TIP: You get told that this offer will only be shown to you once. I tested that out and found this not to be true, at least at the moment. I joined yesterday, and logged back in today, and there is still a link on the forum to upgrade my membership.

By sharing this, I will be losing out on some commission, but I like to report things exactly as I see them.

EDIT: After writing this Russell pointed out that the OTO is in fact $197, not $297 as I had thought. I must have interpreted the price wrong when I looked at. Russell does mention a few prices, which confused me a bit.

So the original OTO does change if you choose to ignore it when you register. You have the option of still getting the upgrade at the higher price if you turn it down the first time.

Why am I telling you this?

In all honesty, because I don’t know if the upgrade is worth the money yet. It’s too soon to tell, because the forum only went live yesterday. I just haven’t had time to test it, but I wanted to tell you about this as soon as I can, to give you the best opportunity to profit from this at the beginning.

There has already been nearly 2000 posts and thousands of views in the first 24 hours. One thing is certain, this is going to be one super busy forum over the next few months at least.

AdWords Empire Review

If you want to learn how to be successful with Google AdWords, this is important news…

AdWords Empire ReviewOver the weekend I was able to get a preview copy of the new AdWords Empire course to review.

It sounded a lot more comprehensive then anything else I’ve seen on the subject. So I wanted to put it to the test and find out if it really did work as promised.

I followed the course strategies, and step-by-step guide to the letter -

On Monday morning I set up a brand new ad campaign, on a new site, for a product in a niche I know nothing about.

…and I’m already set to make an extra $500+ profit a month from it!

Check out my video review here:
